Rent Game Ready / ACL surgery

Game Ready rental after ACL surgery

ACL reconstruction is one of the most common reasons people rent Game Ready in Ireland, from GAA, rugby and soccer players to weekend runners. Game Ready combines cold therapy and active compression in one wrap, so you can manage pain and swelling at home in the weeks after surgery.

Your wrap

Which wrap you'll get

The Game Ready knee wrap. Choose knee when you book and we'll send the wrap with a brand-new, single-use sleeve. Watch how to fit it.

Timing

When to start

Most people start as soon as they get home from hospital, so book ahead and we'll deliver on the day you choose. Your surgeon or physiotherapist will tell you how often to use it.

Rental period

How long to rent

Swelling is usually at its worst in the first two weeks, which is what the 2-week rental (€300) covers. If your rehab plan runs longer, the monthly rental (€500) covers the first month, and you can add extra weeks for €100.

Game Ready was part of my daily routine at home after my ACL surgery. It was easy to set up and fitted around everything else I had going on. The Game Ready Ireland team were brilliant and on hand whenever I needed them.

Common questions

Can I rent Game Ready for an ACL injury before surgery?

Yes. Some people use Game Ready to settle swelling before their operation. Choose injury rather than surgery when you book, and follow the advice of your surgeon or physiotherapist.

Do I need a referral from my surgeon?

No. You don't need a prescription or referral. If your surgeon or physio gave you a clinic code, enter it when you book.

How is the unit delivered, and how quickly?

We deliver nationwide to your home or clinic with DPD, our delivery partner. Please allow 1–2 working days after your booking is confirmed. If you book in advance, we deliver on the start date you choose.

On the day of delivery, DPD will text you with a delivery time window.

You can also collect the unit from our office in Duleek, Co. Meath, on the day you book. Collection must be confirmed with us first: call 041 213 6470 or mention it in the special requests box when you book. The office closes at 4pm, so please collect before then.

You get an extra day's rental free of charge when you collect the unit from our office, and another free day when you drop it back.

How do I return it?

Keep the box your Game Ready arrives in, as you'll use it to send the unit back.

  1. Put all the items back into the Game Ready bag.
  2. Take the prepaid An Post return label out of the hood of the machine.
  3. Put the machine back into the box your rental arrived in. If you've thrown the box out, use another box big enough to hold the machine, as it needs to travel back well protected.
  4. Stick the address label to the outside of the box.
  5. Bring it to your post office, where they'll scan it in.

Keep your return receipt until you get our automated email confirming that your return has arrived at our office.
