General Questions
What is Game Ready and how does it work?
Game Ready is a cold and compression therapy system that helps reduce pain and swelling after surgery or injury. It combines active pneumatic compression with cold therapy to accelerate healing and improve recovery outcomes.
Who typically uses Game Ready?
It’s ideal for patients recovering from orthopaedic surgery (ACL, shoulder, hip, ankle, etc.), athletes with acute injuries, and individuals managing chronic pain or swelling.
Do I need a prescription to rent one?
No prescription is needed, but many doctors or physiotherapists recommend it as part of a post-operative recovery plan.
ORDERING & PAYMENT
How do I rent a Game Ready unit?
You can order directly through the booking form on our website. Once submitted, we’ll confirm your booking and arrange delivery.
What’s included in the rental?
The rental includes the Game Ready control unit, your specific wrap (e.g., knee, hip, ankle), a power supply, connector hoses, and a user guide. Additional wraps are available at extra cost.
How much does it cost to rent?
Pricing varies depending on rental duration and wrap type. Minimum rental period is 2 weeks, costing €300, or monthly, costing €500. Weekly extensions are available here for a price of €100, per week.
What payment options are available?
We accept credit/debit cards and bank transfers. Payment must be made in advance to confirm your booking.
DELIVERY & COLLECTION
How is the unit delivered?
We arrange nationwide delivery to your home or clinic via courier, typically 1–2 working days after confirmation.
Can I pick it up instead?
In some cases, local collection can be arranged from our Duleek base—please enquire when booking.
How do I return it?
We provide a prepaid An Post return label. On your final day, simply re-pack the unit and bring it to your local Post Office.
What happens if I am late returning my machine:
As per the Terms and conditions of rental, you are liable for late payment fees for machines which aren’t returned in time.
USAGE & TROUBLESHOOTING
Is it easy to set up?
Yes. The system is simple to use and includes a step-by-step guide. Most patients are up and running within minutes. Please see here for video on set up
What if I have issues using it?
We offer full support by phone or email. Please call 041-2136470 for questions. If you don’t get a reply, please leave a message with your question and we’ll get back to you. Otherwise, please email gameready@platform20.ie
Can I use it overnight?
No, we recommend using Game Ready in 20–30 minute sessions, multiple times a day, with at least 1 hour between sessions. It should not be used while sleeping.
HYGIENE & RETURN POLICY
Are the wraps clean and safe?
Yes. All wraps are professionally cleaned and disinfected after each use. We include a brand new sleeve with every rental of our GameReady units. These are designed to be single patient use.
What if I need it longer than planned?
You can extend your rental—just contact us before your end date and we’ll update the billing and collection schedule. You can read more about it here.
What happens if it’s damaged or lost?
Renters are responsible for safe use and return, as per terms and conditions agreed to upon rental. Damage beyond normal wear or loss may result in repair/replacement charges. Check our rental Terms and Conditions here.
